This recording
features Kandy King on vocals.
In 2005 I was at a
Rhonda Vincent bluegrass concert at the Carolina Theatre
in Greensboro, NC. We had really good seats, maybe
3rd row. About halfway through the concert I
looked over to the right side and saw a paraplegic young
man in a wheelchair - he could only move a finger or two
on one hand and his head. He was totally engrossed
in the show, wheelchair bouncing to the beat from his
head going up and down to the music! It really
made an impression on me, as did the way Rhonda visited
with him after the show. We saw him again at
another bluegrass show (I think another Rhonda Vincent
concert) too and talked to him and his parents.
My Prayer
Father hold me in your hand
My path is dark; a foreign land
Pain and danger from all sides
Please hear this lost lamb’s cry
[Chorus]
Give me the strength to walk with you
Though I am weak, unable to
Break these chains that shackle me
Lift me high on angel wings
Some burdens weigh too much to bear
So many bear more than their share
Though temptations test my faith
I am protected by your grace
[Chorus]
Give me the strength to walk with you
Though I am weak, unable to
Break these chains that shackle me
Lift me high on angel wings
